They are Classic TOY Trains after all. [:)] [:D]
Outstanding engineer there, KEV. [Y] [:D]
great engineer there Kevin and some great pics also
Aww I see we got the name back to what we are use to.
heres a pic of some of my trains nothing special just one of my display shelves
How’s this for a “classic”?. A friend from the office found it while cleaning out a trunk that used to belong to one of his uncle’s. Knowing of my interest in trains he gave it to me.
It’s a wind-up train made of lithographed tin. It has no manufacturing marks on it, the name on the locomotive says The Joy Line. The guage on the wheels is one inch, making it neither S nor O. Not much to go on.
I’ll be going to a few train shows in the next couple of months. Hopefully some toy train collector can come up with a spare wheel.
looking good every one, been pondering some train shelving my self. unfortianatly, the only large wall spaces I have are in the stair well going to the basement, Its a wide 44 inches, but i just dont see any good coming out of display shelving in the stair well, Any thoughts?

Ryan,
Shelving in a starirwell wouldn’t be my first choice. All it would take would be to carry one thing that is too big and accidentally knock something off the shelves. Have you considered shelving alongside your layout?
Great pictures everyone. Here’s my latest. 726 Berk from 1948-49 with a 2426W tender. Needed next to nothing and runs as good as it looks. It’s has that smoothness and attention to detail that seemed to disappear from Lionel production after 1949.
Great pics guys! Love the engineer, Kevin! Keep up the good work!
Nice collection RT. Great job Charlie. Jim, got one of those Berks. Someone made a great find.
Great contributions again this week folks. Thanks.
Frank,
A person could weave quite a few stories about the vignette you posted. [;)]
It looks as if the management of the Blueboard Central Division of American Flyer Lines is still trying to make up its mind about equipment for an electrified portion of the line. A pair of electrics with passenger cars showed up in town this week. The Old Guys down a the coffee shop quipped that they should be named The Dixie Twins. I caught a few photos of the the beauty queens this week.

The paint scheme for the Atlantic Coast Line is one of the best.
At the throttle for this trip was my good friend, Engineer John. John retired from GE Erie as one of their testing engineers. He and others in his group would put sensors on the locomotive to monitor their testing.
I’m beginning to really enjoy cab rides. [tup] [tup] [tup] [tup]
Kev – thanks for the beautiful picture of your grand daughter and the trains. Trains ARE toys and they are enjoyed by every age level, that’s what makes this hobby so enjoyable. Sometimes I think we lose that focus, good job [tup]
BUCKEYE, don’t you think that engine color would go with FIFE’s EYES [:O][:)]?
