Sunday Photo Fun 1-23-05

This week we are sharing some pic of our new K-line Robin Hood Beer refer with you. I have also done some pics of an Atlas refer as a comparison. I do believe the K-line is a good if not better than the Atlas at a lesser price.

The (cast) Iron Horse

A good day at the farm.

Train coming around the bend.

Slowing down and saying hello.

Chief taking good care of the cattle.

Night time at the farm.

Creating that scene on our layout was great fun.

Jon

Yes they can. Lionel SD80 MAC. Got a great fan. Blows smoke to the ceiling.

And I do not turn the lights down like some so the flash will make it look stronger. [;)]

Oh Chief,

No Black Background Here and the engine is under way.

smoken tom

Tom, quit turning down the lights. What JR smoke is so black. Mine is grayish. See me with my JD feeding my cows. Jon, pretty good night scene.

Chief, the smoke isn’t dark, it’s that thick, just sheer volume of it.

BUCKEYE and TOM that’s just unBEARable.
CHIEF my SDs smoke great like yours love to watch them billow!!!

Heres my pics of the week, this is what we do with the SUDS that TOM delivers to the fire station…

After a few we test our BEER muscles…

Thenwe do some shooting…

LaZ , I remember when the Indians would have 5 cent beer night. The cops would have to clear the stadium by the 7th inning.

Lionel NYC Hudson on floor.

Sort of train related… I know this is my 2nd post today here but I’m only about 6’ from the fireplace and it feels so good.

Jon

This we bought last year in Durango, CO at the museum shop after riding the Durango & Silverton narrow gage. The clock behind it is way over 100 years old.

One more for Chief

Thanks Jon. Tom, I like the one with the bananas to hang inside.

Here is my Clinchfield Mogul made from the Lionel NYC Mogul.

TOM,
We had a bar in Hazleton, Pa. was called Doc Tigers. He was a real doctor who took care to the old coal miners and had a bar. He only charge a nickle a beer till about 1980 then had to put it up to 10 cents a beer. He died about 1990, RIP, but for 2 bucks you could get a good jag on.

what was the name of that place - Municipal Stadium?

When I was first developing an interest in baseball as a kid - which would have been in the real early 60’s, I followed the Indians, until they traded away my favorite player. I remember seeing that stadium on tv, and it was h-u-g-e.
