Have a great Sunday…
Wes
Good Morning. Spankybird, I’d imagine it was pretty noisy with all those stock cars cruisin’ through the neighborhood. Wes, great video!
Here’s a couple oldies:
Nice photos everyone!
Here are a few shots of my MTH Empire State 4-4-0 pulling 4 64’ Woodside cars around the club on Friday:
Great pictures everyone.
Another wonderful winter weekend to stay inside and play with trains
Added a fruit and veggie stand to a corner of the layout
The only board member who voted against the land development
Making Progress. More New England…Go Pats!!
Darianj,
Thats a truly awesome bridge. It must be a very wide layout! I have wanted the MTH 4-4-0 since I saw it for the first time last year. Looks great!

Fun stuff by Unique Art
Action in the railyard of the Prairietype railroad, unofficially known as the Kansas City Southwest Railroad, featuring among other trains the Great Plains Thunderchief, a Santa Fe passenger express which is waiting for the signal at Santa Fe Junction in the West Bottoms of Kansas City:
This next picture is however, ultimately what it is all about isn’t it?:
And for those who visit the prairie, the types of Santa fe locomotives that once ran there: A Santa Fe Consolidation in a park in Arkansas City, Kansas:
And the prairie that I speak constantly about: Strong City depot which may be the future stop of daytime service in Kansas at the Tall Grass Prairie National Park (next three)…
An ocean of grass: The horizon in this shot is 9-12 miles distant!
Just a couple, took our new Daylight to the Train Club, AND our new membership certificate in OTTS.
AND… Drum Roll…
Great pics and videos - esp love that 4-4-0 exiting the tunnel onto a bridge!
WOW, what a buffet on the SPF this morning.[dinner]
Spank - If you only knew…thanks. (Actually have most of those classics.)
Ray: I love this “Sunday” feature because I learn something every week. Have just watched your ‘test track’ video. What a great idea just running a track around the room without being concerned with scenery (Not that scenery is bad!) but for the enjoyment of plain old train watching.
How large is the room and how do you handle the door entrance?
To All: Great pics. Thanks for sharing.

Enjoyed your pictures. Especially the one of the New York Central Passenger cars loaded with Giant fans. [:)]
If you look CLOSELY, the cars are EMPTY!![:D]
I am still messing around with the lighting in my basement. Here is one I come up with:
Regards,
John
Here are some running trains pictures
Raymans,
Thanks for the videos!
Wes
No new pictures but after the mention of a test track I though I’d show mine
American FLyer would have a spec amps to draw on a specific size track pulling four boxcars at so many revolutions per minute forward and back. Also, after oiling I run items on the test track to let the excess flyoff on the test track instead of the layout track.
Here is the transformer set up I use for the test track
