Here’s something that was sent to me recently.

It’s a Fleischmann 0-4-0 I’m guessing of 70’s vintage. I removed the hook and loop couplers and put in Kadee #148’s in Kadee #242 draft gear boxes. It runs but is somewhat rocky and needs more work. For now it makes a nice little tourist attraction.

And I finally got the junkyard scene painted. The paint used is all water thinned latex house paint.

The boys don’t seem to have a care in the world today

A good day of fishing at the cabin by the pond.

Have a good day,

This is not a train subject, but I thought you guys may find it interesting…

A 1954 Chevrolet Corvette Nomad…

This was a GM concept car, but never went into production.

A 1954 Chevrolet Corvette Nomad…

Cool car, back in high school I had a 1956 Nomad, wish I had it today. When I received the greetings letter from President Johnson I sold it, should have stored it for the 2 years.

Street on my Carpet Central along with some of the Christmas presents that finally came in!

So Chuck, is it at least 1/43 scale to fit on your layout?

Spankybird… I have never seen a model of the Corvette Nomad. If I did… I’d put it on the layout, no matter what the scale.

No no no! It needs to be 3/16 scale!

My friend Rick recently acquired a Marx 6" wrecker. Here it is on my layout today, attempting to re-rail a pre-war clockwork Commodore Vanderbilt that has split a switch. The crew better make quick work of the re-rail, it has the crossover from the mainline into the yard blocked!

I pick up this car at the Toy Show yesterday. It is a model of a Russian made car from 1915. The model was also made in Russia.

Don’t forget the turbine car that did go into production…all but forgotten now…waay cool. Rarer than a Voltamp Interurban ? Let me guess…Jay Leno probably has one. If he was into toy trains, there would be no variations left to buy. Wouder if it sounded like a PRR S1?

A video and some photos of the Glancy Modular layout at the De La Salle High school train show this weekend.

Neat little steamer, is it HO or ON30

It’s HO.
