Nice pictures, Tom. Good to see you posting.

It was to be an exciting day at Roger’s Corners. Amtrak was supposed to be returning to Central Ohio.
Here it comes!
Sad, but true! Amtrak’s eastbound and westbound both did not stop at Roger’s Corner, Ohio. Maybe in another 25 years we will get passenger service in Central Ohio.

Great pictures & plenty of smoke on Tom’s layout !! Those smoke units just keep on tickin" !!
Glad Amtrak is running on time, it looks like !! That is one good lookin’ passenger train !!
Thanks, John
Thought I’d take 5 minutes break from bridge building to post some progress photos, then back to building. This is yesterday’s work and today, might get 30 feet of bridge built total. Then working on another 30’ long concrete bridge. Will keep some progress photos going and will post some of my buddy’s 3-rail photos tomorrow…
got nearly half down, tho wood ties and rails not yet spiked and footers need some sheathing and tiny rails need to be placed between the bridge and its footing, but here’s the progress thus far (it’s just layed there for the photo and for measuring purposes). Used thin rebar from Lowe’s (approx. gauge 12)

Havent been able to locate a set of 49er passenger cars, so I put together a 49er freight.
And remembering warmer days. This past summer camping on lake Ontario.
Great pictures everyone!
I hooked up some log cars to my new additions and shot a few new angles. I’m going to order some smaller log cars for both the Shay & Climax within the next few days, need to make sure it’s what I want.

Buckeye, with all of those passengers waiting, you would think they would stop. [:(]
BTW: want to see the pictures at almost full screen, hit reply right over the ones you want to enlarge. Then use the back “button” and go to next section. Actually larger than clicking on the picture.
Great job guys.
Great train pics, guys. Here is an interesting comparison:

Chuck, Very interesting. I was just thinking the other day about how many leafless trees I was seeing. Seems the norm to have leaves on the trees for Halloween.Cold weather and lots of rain here in Illinois. But this is sounding more like the coffee pot. Nice comparison photos!
Some pre-war talk on the forum lately. Here is a redone Am. Flyer.
Jon,
The Shay and the Climax look super on your layout. I think the shorty lumber cars or a coal drag would look great too.

WOW, these are some phenomenal pictures of some beautiful layouts this week!! Again! [:)]
The Ghost of Christmases Past DID indeed visit me again last night and I can again share some of what I recollect dreaming (?) from 2004

Walt, I’m glad you posted because I have wanted to ask you about your Christmas layout. Is it in sections that come apart? What is it built on? I have always thought it was one of the best Christmas layouts posted on the forum.
chuck,
before/after photo is tracks before and tracks gone? hard to see.
finished over 30 feet of bridgework in a 24 hour period, including ties
nice pics guys.
Good evening, Great pictures everyone.
Jon, If you want short log cars the Industrial Rail cars are nice. I had three from before the time that Atlas bought them out and they were nice. I don’t know if the Atlas are available yet or not.
Here are a few pics of my new K-Line Reading Passenger cars.
I want to add a few more passengers, need more revenue on my RR.
John,
I’ll look for those cars. I also like your idea about a long consist of short coal cars, hadn’t thought of that, then I could use my Lionel coal loader that I’ve had for 30 years that I bought at a flea market!
Jon
Great pictures guys. I enjoyed every one.
perry1060,
I really like your western layout. Regarding the first photo, was the bridge wider after the locomotive squeezed through?
