Sunday Photo Fun 11-4-07

Here is a Lionel 1668E that one of our members pick up last week! [swg]

It came with the set of cars [;)]

And if you didn’t see this NKP that was donated to the museum from the Wilkinson Foundation, here it is!

<

Spankybird - great photos as usual - Loved the NKP and the 1688. The 1688 looks like an identical match to the one Keith worked on for me except it is gunmetal and mine is black. Seems like you had a geat day at the Museum for the NMRA event.

Take care,

Mitch

Our Lionel NYC RS3 pulls a coal drag. This loco was only $80 brand new and is a lot of fun. It pulls well, crawls along like a snail when asked to, and coasts to a stop. A very nice locomotive for the price.

Here are our Lionel hoppers with our home-made coal loads. The kids had fun making these loads. Click on these images to enlarge.

Another favorite locomotive on the Jumijo. A Lionel Trainsounds Santa Fe FT from the El Capitan starter set. Great sounding horn and bell on this one.

A gaggle of Santa Fe motive power. Front, inner track is our newest. A Lionel scale, conventional F3. I like!

Great photos. Spankybird, that tinplate looks great. Jumijo, as a Wisconsinite, I’ve always loved the Milwaukee Road color scheme, but those Santa Fe’s really look sharp.

Pretty busy this weekend, so only got to run downstairs for a short while late yesterday.

The final link was put in place and the trains are running.

a couple of the B&A

Great pics everyone. Here is some action on the B.L.T Lines.

That gaggle of F units was a great picture but this last one here looks like a scene right out of an urban railroad.

Railfan23: Is that a lionel jr in hiawatha colors? If it is, I want it [:)]. Great layout. Is that a 436 power station custom painted in the first photo?

We were away most of the fall. Finally back and trying to complete the last of the benchwork. Some “night time” test photos I shot a while back - definitely not the best quality; but they let me check my layout lighting (click on them for a larger image):

Hello Railfan23!

That is a nice Tinplate Layout you have there. I’m surprised you do not have a 1688 set to make it complete.[;)][;)][:P][:o)][:o)] Take Care.

Great shots everyone! Laz, I think you need to paint that yellow line back a ways on the passenger terminal. Fine looking engine, I like it better with hood off. I do hope to add to this instead of just enjoying everyone else’s work.

Someone has an unhealthy obsession with Postwar Santa Fe F3s!

No. I just love the warbonnet paint scheme on an F unit. I think it’s because I remember having an HO set with a similar SF F unit as a kid. I didn’t even show all of them. I’ve bought my kids some in HO scale. The NYC lightning stripe scheme is growing on me though.

Here are some pictures my wife ttook while I was in York last April…[8)]

Have been working on stringing telephone poles - I picked these side mount brackets up from Dave Baran:

Put these on the side of Grandma’s House:

I will run the lines down this side street and attach the ends to the pole printed on the background:

Here’s the outcome:

The last photo is jumbo sized

Great photos. Pete from W’burg, great night scenes. Buckeye, you are rreally going to have some tracks to run longer trains on now. Good job. Tom P, finally broke downa nd got an engine with drivers and rods.

Hey, it smokes too. [;)]

Frank53…Those telephone poles look outstanding. Great job.

Chief…Diesels are pretty but steamers are fabulous !!!
