It was a VERY BIG crowd at The Vermont Rails Train Show at The Champlain Valley Exposition yesterday! Here folks stop to watch our little home-made display layout:
Here’s a home-made “disappering train” display:
We kept the trains rolling until after closing!
Meanwhile things are quiet at home:

Tom: Simply delicious!
Kooljock1: Nice photos.
A few photo’s for the fun of it!

I haven’t posted anything in quite a while. Just haven’t had much time to make real progress on the layout. Still lots of plywood and basement walls. I did, however, get started on my mountain and tunnel. As soon as the rest of the Sculptamold gets here, I can finish it.
As you can tell, the table and the backdrop still need finishing work, but at least the wine is properly stored underneath. When I don’t come back from the basement for several hours, my wife never knows whether I am running trains or tasting wine. Usually both.
One project that did get completed was this grocery truck. I am trying to model the mountains of Colorado, specifically Grand and Routt counties, where my family is from. I figured that I needed something local, so I bought the truck on eBay, repainted it, and then added my own decals. It turned out pretty nicely, better in fact than many of my earlier custom projects. King Soopers, BTW, is a grocery chain in Colorado.
Here’s another video of my new Lionel docksider:…

Good morning train fans
Built a repair station with some leftovers from a job…
Mrs PE cracked up when she saw the Lionel ZW emblems on the doors…
Maybe I should ship this to Jerrylovestrains for his repair business
And lastly a new Engine joins the roster… Maybe Colin can identify it for all …He’s pretty good at that…Tim
Tim - great door pulls! - nice pics everyone.
Fresh from the repair shop.
Smoke 'em if you got 'em.

Hi all,
A few pics of our layout as promised. Its great just to be able to run the
train after all the trouble with 50Hz.
In the third pic you can see the pure sine inverter and the battery borrowed
from my '81 DeLorean. I have a DC power supply on order to replace
the battery.
Best Regards
Nick

Nice pix everyone.
This is what I think PE Tim’s mystery engine is: The engine is in the EMD lineup, most likely in the SD series, so to me it looks like an SD60. My first guess was an SD40-2, but I looked at it more closely, and then decided on an SD 60. If not that, probably an SD 50.
Lumber office building and warehouse is a kit by Walthers.
Right on the money Colin. It’s a Lionel SD-60 BN w/cmd. It’s an older model, I think 2001, but the sounds on this particular engine are fabulous. Compressor sound and horn are great. Will try and get you next week…Tim
Thanks, Tim.
I remember reading a review of an HO model painted in Oakway Leasing Co., and I happen to still have the image of the engine in my mind.
Colin,
You are good. We should make this a regular feature of the Sunday photo fun. Post one loco for you to identify. I have one on order that may stump you. When I get it I will post it to test you.
I think that is an excellent idea !! [:D][:D]
Boy, the pictures are just great again this week ! [:)][:)]
Thanks,
Nice photos guys , thanks for the how-to-post-pics Tom ,
Here is my try with my humble start in 3 rail , I had to start somewhere …
