Sunday Photo Fun 3-12-06

My girl, my girl!!, we’re talkin’ 'bout myyy girlll my girl
Alright its my 6 or 5 year old daylight

In the pic above, the bottom is my postwar GG1 wich ill try and show u some other time.

Thanks,

Here is my contribution for the week - only one before the batteries died - my daughter took 192 photos in 12 hours.

Whoops, forgot to mention what it is - my kitbashed GP9 - what’ll I call it? Beep is already taken - I’d like to add a pantagraph; in the background is the B unit - you can barely see it.

Paul, I love that streamlined UP steamer -
Tom, that C&O engine - the yellow one - is always wonderful to see.

Doug, I like that Chessie steamer too.

Now I have to start reading up about my engines. Have to get to the catalogs to update my mind on which engines will be posted. That is a good idea though, I like it.

Nice photos everyone. I am so impressed with the creativity I see in these photos.

Pigseye Tim - love those door pulls

LAZ - Those are some serious old growth logs you are hauling. Is that a Shay pulling that load of lumber?

Spanky - great photos as usual. I love that yellow C & O engine.

pbjwilson - love those night shots.

Hey Tom (aka Spankybird)

Sorry I didn’t ket back to you earlier (re: Lumber bldgs.) but qqqman did answer the question. L O N G days and short nights for moi. The kits are Walthers and well worth the $$$ and very easy to work with, we did decorate the intereiors to make them look even better.

Jon

PS–I’m ready to re-retire

PSS-Hawkeye’s Big Ten Champs----Buckeye-maybe with a little bit of luck, Steve A. will move along to the Hoosiers…good riddance.

Jon-- ready for bed early…

Mrs 53 got down the base coat on teh wall I just finished building. Let it dry for a few days and start doing the details and blending, and then some foliage growing out of the cracks. Lastly, I have to cut the aluminum tubing for teh guard rails that go through those holes in the uprights.

My humble repair bench…

I have a couple of mini drawers now for parts.

MITCH, no that is a Lionel Camelback Delaware and Hudson. I have a K-line Shay I will take some pics of for next week?

I had some fun running at the club today!

Finally had a chance to capture some video of my new K-Line NYC 4-6-6 Suburban. Great sound and smoke.

Roy,
Really nice videos. The sound is fantastic. The second video you can play like a loop. Just hit the play button over and over and it appears as if the train is making loops around the track. Thanks for sharing.

Great videos, Roy. What a fine engine.

Great photos everyone. Maybe one day, I’ll have a few to show.[:)]

Frank53-

Looks like your layout is coming along well, looking forward to seeing more of your progress. Im in the process of actually looking for one of those new haven electrics, how does yours run? Keep up the good work[;)]

John[:)]

Frank, That is looking great. [tup]

That is an original post war model, I pickedit up for Junior on ebay for less than $200.00 It has the usual amount of play wear associated with these at that price, however, as a runner it is silky silky smooth. No eunit buzz, very silent runner - gobbles up the track.

Great video Roy, and great photos as usual guys. Keep em coming. These are one of the best things to look forward to each week.
Dennis

Doug,
How 'bout GP3 or GP1/3. Or shorty, stubby, 1/2 pint, toot, tweet.
Looks good, but I think it needs a pantograph. Keep up the good work Mr. 5 stars.

I like it, Paul! Something like GP4.5 - still looking for a pantagraph. I think John uncovered a link for me.
