Here is a shot of the new to me 1615 switcher I got this week.
Here are some shots from the under construction layout addition I am working. The inner loop is for my 30 month old granddaughter. She is really getting into the trains and having her own loop and transformer. She knows where the master table switch is and how to run Thomas. She has the cars full of her toys and won’t let Grandma touch anything but the whistle button. [(-D]

Kev, like your new 1615! Here is mine working the Maryville Yard. Propped a little fireman up in the cab just to add a little visual interest. While it use to get a lot of use, my 1615 hasn’t been on the rails for some time. Fun little locomotive and one of my post war favorites. Are there any more little 1615’s out there? If so let’s see them, please! Bo [:)]

I don’t get to post on SPF very often, but I do enjoy seeing everyone’s pictures! I think the last time I posted a picture, it was of a Hafner 110 that I repaired for a friend. This project is similar; it is a Hafner 109 that I fixed up for my own amusement:
The little 109 came without any rear wheels, so I initially ran it using a homemade wheel and another incorrect wheel. In the meantime, I found a couple of correct - albeit, worn out - Hafner wheels. Then, a couple of weeks ago, the spring hub broke, so I decided to replace the wheels while I had the motor apart. I bored the wheels out and installed some hubs that I turned on the lathe. The broken Zamac spring hub was replaced with a homemade one machined out of brass (just like the Hafner 110 I posted before). The repaired rear wheels were installed by peening over the ends of the back axle, per original practice. A little turbine oil to lube it up and it runs great. Although I like to keep the orginal finish when possible, this one is just bad enough I may end up repainting it. Regardless of it’s appearance, it is a nice little runner for the clockwork layout.

Here’s my 1615. It very rarely gets on the rails; I think it looks a bit too big compared to my postwar sized cars and Plasticville buildings.

Okay heres a few items I have gotten over the pass couple of months
I bought the Southern passenger set for the cars.
Here is a Burlington SD 40-2 made by weaver that started out with proto sound and when I got it, it had a William E unit
I installed a ERR TMCC and sound board
I hooked up the coil couplers that where there just had to change the connectors.

Well this was a very productive Sunday photo fun great photo everyone . I really enjoy looking at the progress of everyone’s layout and seeing all the trains people are buying. I look forward every week to view SPF . And if I can be part of it .
