What brand is that handcar and dump cars in your third pic?
btw Does anyone know if there has there been a “Cheap Classics” thread about short, unmarked, manually-operated dump cars (similar to the dump cars in your third pic) and short, unmarked gondolas? I went to a train show in Virginia years ago and picked up a bunch of “O” gauge, all-plastic, very light, short gondolas and manually operated dump cars—all with fixed couplers. None of them had markings of any kind, but the seller told me they were cheap, MPC-era Lionel cars. (I don’t know that I’ve ever actually seen any documentation about them to know whether those cars are actually Lionel products or not.) I thought the primary colors they were molded in looked pretty
Yes the cars are probably Lionel. In the MPC early years they had limited funds to work with so some low priced sets were offered along with some other pretty decent items. As the company grew we got better trains. For some reason though they still continued to offer some very low priced sets. Kinda like the old Scout line.
