Sunday Photo Fun 6-6-04

This will be my first time starting this. So no better time then the present. Here is a pic of my wind turbine and new crane. One is complete and the other will be under construction. This was always my favorite topic on the Atlas forum. Oh and sprink did start this same topic at the Railroadforum.com. Enjoy. I hope I do sprink proud.[:D]

Those Rock Island locos ROCK!!

Hmmmm, I have never seen wind turbines modeled before. Very interesting. Very nice photo.

And yes, those locos are very nice.

Glad to see our weekend adventurs continue… even with the atlas forums down.

well today was way exciting… i got half my benchwork up and otherwise finished off the room (trim, lighting etc.)

I’ll post more pics when I have them.

Thanks, I kinda think so myself.[:D][:I][B)]

Here is my new RS-11 PK1000. I think the detailing is pretty good, and as you can see, it is already in service.

Great job everboby the link to see my layout pictures is the first one in my signature

Forgot to add “secnery coming soon”

Wow great layouts, you guys are getting me motivated.

For the Atlas refugees who may be newcomers here, if you click the photo the image will float in a larger size.

No kidding! Makes me wish I had that airbrush and digital camera that I’m getting sometime already!

Juby4Life-even though you don’t have it posted here, the pic on your railimages.com page with the Rock “patch job” of the UP GE unit is wonderful![:D]
That’s the way it should have been, anyway![:p]

Awsome loco, nothing like a good old 4-6-4

I’m a big Hudson fan myself…

Used to ride on the Royal Hudson 2860 when it ran a tourist train from North Vancouver to Squamish on the old BC Rail mainline (now pretty much CN). Good Times [8D]

Excellent pics! Juby, it’s always good to spread the joy of SPF. I hope more guys start SPF’s on all these forums .I see some more familiar faces here from the Atlas forum. I’m glad we are all finding places to keep current in the hobby.
Joe.

Sprink glad to see you have come over in the absence of the atlas forum!
I was quite saddened yesterday to discover the forum down just as I had benchwork going up and wanted to share my excitement!

I have to get more lumber and then fini***he benchwork. Then off to dig my track/cork etc out of storage.

Jeff

Hiya JJ,
It’s great to see ya. After the Atlas forum shut down I went to The Railroad Forum.com and kinda dug in there for the duration. I don’t know why I didn’t stop by here until tonight. I’m glad I did though. I believe I will be more active on these other forums even after Atlas comes back up.I’ll just have to learn to do more multi-tasking.I see Juby kicked off SPF. That’s great. That is probably the most fun and least cotroversial topic so far. It really shows the supportive nature of 99% of us hobbiests and the remarkable talent that is out there.
Joe.

I like Juby’s Rock Island loco. [:)]

I also really like that RS11. [:D]

I think we need more Alco models. I have a FA1 and FB1 set in Frisco’s black and yellow. But I would like to add more Alcos as time goes on. Frisco had some RS1s, some RS2s, some S-2s, some S-4s, and the FA1s and FB1s. MY Frisco will buy some newer power as time and funds permit. Hey, it is all for fun anyway. So as they have said in the past, it is YOUR railroad, model it as you like. [;)] [:p] [:)]

I do like those Rock Island blue/white locos though. [8D]

Sorry, I’m a bit late. Great work everyone. Bryant, besides the RS11, I really like the trackside detail work in your picture. Ah, the advantages of HO. Makes it hard to match in N-scale…

I took this photo on my layout this week and then digitally added in a new background. The one on my layout is just a plain sky blue, but I think the new mountain skyline really added a great deal of depth to the picture:
