Sunday Photo Fun - 8/14/22

My best train buddy, Tom, has been visiting Fifedom this week, and he brought his newly received Lionel/TCA SD45-2s in the Santa Fe Bicentennial colors.

They are Legacy equipped, with 5700 being the powered unit, and the 5704 having the Super-Bass electronics.

They also have the Kinematic front ends. The snowplows and front ends hang precariously low, and they realy “clear” any lineside impediments… Cost for members was $999.99.

While we were visiting Altoona, PA this past Friday, we stopped by Full Steam Ahead Hobbies, at which time Tom located the CN SD40-2 (Lionel 6-28259) he has been seeking for a decade.

“Everything comes to those who wait.”

Sometimes I think the best accessory to this hobby would be a sign reading “Patience!” we can hang on the walls of our train rooms!

Nice shots Fife!
