As always, a joy to watch all those pictures. Thanx.
Latest purchase… for Susan’s wine cellar/wine bar
This was very hard to find as they were only made in 1996. I was lucky enough to find one that had never been opened and for a decent price! Now to get it on some track to make sure works!
Great Pictures !!
Congradulations on your find Brent, how appropriate!!
Great Pictures!!! Here’s my 3rd Rail Spokane, Portland & Seattle Z6 on the tracks.
Magnificent, John! Is that bluish cast on the top of the front truck from your photo lighting or the engine’s LED?
Doug, I noticed the blue “glow” myself!! Its not an LED or intentional, just a quirky phenomenon. Or else my locomotive is haunted!!![:O][:O][:D]
It’s your ‘aura’ of good modeling, John. I’m always inspired by the way you set the figures and details in a scene - they don’t call attention to themselves per se but sure ‘tell’ a story.
Jon (and others). I love your military pictures. I’m writing a book, which I can describe to you in an email and would love to use a few of your military/toy train photos for possible inclusion. The book is about War Trains throughout history and will very briefly touch on this aspect. I’m scouring Nat’l Archives and Library of Congress sites as well for photos of armored trains, troops transports and so forth.
Jon, great photos as usual. Can you tell me who makes the street lights?
Thanks,
Kurt
Kurt, I’m pretty sure those lights were made by MTH.
FJ&G: If you’re kind enough to credit me with the photos and autograph my copy of your book that I would love to purchase- then Yes!!!
If you go to my “other” forum I hang out you can go to the Members Photos section and pick what you need. Or I can email them to you.
Here’s a couple for fun:
Jon,
Your work is first rate. I’ll send you an email. Later this year I may visit Ft Eustis to do research within the Transportation museum there.
Ah, Ft. Eustis, VA. Did some training there. They have a nice display of trains, planes, vehicles, ect… as soon as you enter the gates. I also saw a loco sitting on a lonesome siding on one of my road marches that had seen better days.
jefelectric,
The tender on that L&NE L1 steam loco has an interesting feature that I have not seen before on steam loco’s, a box on the back of the tender, guess it was used in cold or rainy weather.
