Swell job! Who made the SP engine by the way?
Its a Spectrum USRA 4-8-2B. Which is an engine SP never owned.
Very nice work Mr. Jones and Mr. Bryant!
Thanks for the look.
Great pictures ofgreat models!
Here’s a few for you.
My first try at weathering, using the very nice Weather System from http://www.bragdonent.com.
And the F7au I started tonight, from an Athearn Blue Box F7 and the Walther’s superdetailing kit (As well as some Miniatures By Eric and Detail Associates parts which haven’t been applied yet.)
I’ve been laying low all Summer… but finished a few cars this weekend that had been taking weeks.
First is an Athearn FGE reefer that I stripped bare and repainted as a UPFE in the later scheme.
And then an Accurail 50’ boxcar that I also stripped bare, and recreated a full-graffiti car I saw. Yes, it’s about 90 percent decal, but the other 10 percent is touchup on every rib, ladder, and raised area. You can’t put a decal that big on a ribbed car without problems!!!
The real car for comparison is in the latest freight car gallery on my website below.
Well I don’t have any picturesque ones, but I do have some progress photos.

That is my layout as of Sunday evening.

I had added the graffiti a long time ago, but the dirt is pretty recent.

This is the GP38-2 I have been talking about. I have re-wired it and added heatshrink tubing to hold the wires.
Anyhoo.

I finished up the second SD40-2 I was working on, but havent taken any pics of it yet. But I did take some while operating this week down at the club.
The first two shots are of a Maritime SD40-2, SDF40-2 and U30 consist leaving the yard lead headed back to the fiddle yard.
This shot is of a Maritime consist of 2 F7A’s and 2 CF7’s sitting at the oil terminal siding.
