Sunday Photo Fun 9/17/06

Thank you CTT for giving me a new project to try! The Plasticville Telegraph Poles look great! Somebody asked about The Torpedo this week, here’s mine charging up-grade: The Broadway blows through while a New York Central freight sits in the hole: And the fireman breathes a sigh of relief! Let’s see yours! Jon

Hmmmm… okay, I’ve posted and re-posted! Where are my pictures??? And where are the emoticons??? Jon

shutterly seems to be one giant pain in the butt. On a number of forums, there seems to be some chanting or incense burning requirement in order to display photos.

Here are yours KJ - nice pix, by the way

Here’s The Broadway blowing past a New York Central freight in the hole:

And the fireman breathes a sigh of relief!

It makes you wonder who is getting the ride!

And here is some of the new MTH bike riders

Thanks Frank! I really wanted to credit CTT for their excelllent article on detail painting Plasticville Telephone Poles. It’s easy and fun. Heck, I did it while watching a ballgame on TV! I’d love to know what Spank-bird is doing with his Shutterfly that I’m not. It seems to work for him everytime. Maybe it’s that I’m using a Mac/Safari? Jon

Nice pix; telephone poles; busy working today so just 2 photos and hello from BB

This new software and Mac’s don’t mix too well.

Jon, I think you just hit the nail on the head. The CTT forum does have some issues with Mac’s. I don’t belive it is your Mac or Shutterfly. BTW, here at home I use an older Compaq with ME windows.

Kooljock1 - ON the mac I have at home, I had to switch to Firefox to get this forum to work OK.

I think I recall your photos not showing up on the model train journal forum using shutterfly as well. I cut and pasted your post contents from OGR.

Frank the problem with posting pics on the Model Train Journal from Shutterfly is MTJ sofware cannot read the scrip that Shutterfly uses. Shutterfly works well on CTT, OGR and The Gauge forums.

Also with Shutterfly, you do not have to resize your pics, nor is there a 5 pic posting per day limit. And if you wish to order prints, you can. And they even give you TWO web pages free.

Another day of work on the PRR!

Well, copy and paste worked for me. You just have to have both webpages opened at the same time. This is the section of the layout that I am working on.

I seem to recall trying to use it - not sure where - and the properties didn’t include an extension or somethign strange. I was using the 2and2.net service, but they appear to have discontinued the service.

As an aside, I see tubular track is the dominant feature of the day . . .

. . and the world spins freely on it’s axis. [:D]

Great photots as usual. Frank53, it seems that your layout has progressed magnificantly.

Yes, that pesky [;)] Ghost of Christmases past did indeed come again last night. He told me to remember the visit because, he said, IF [;)] there’s another visit we’ll be moving on up.

After I scan, store, and post the my photos (film prints) they usually seem dark. I tried a photo editor to lighten them up. Let’s see how they come out. HMM, not bad - I could BARELY see the houses, etc. before. Funny, the detail’s obviously there but the scanning process darkens it and you think you’ve lost it.

My lasting memory of 2001 I guess:
