The 790 Trainarama was a set of cardboard scenic backdrop panels from 1953.

Nice Layout Jim, the back drops add a lot of dimension. I have no progress to show off this weekend but I am the host of the Traveling Boxcar this week…

Love the layout as always Jim!
Paul - is that an O gauge Mach 5??? Where did you get that? Love it!
Mach 5?? I want one!!!
Yeah - check out Paul’s 3rd pic [tup]
The 3rd pic is not loading for me, can just see it in pic #4. Need to find one for sure!
Hey, it’s the traveling boxcar uh reefer!
I found it at ToysRus, this one is the 1/32 scale and it fits perfectly with other 1/43 scale vehicles and the best part is it was on sale for 1/2 price, only $2.49.

Here is part of our AF display at The Western Reserve Model Railroad Museum
Great Gilbert American Flyer stuff!!!
A short train passes the diner and the Coca Cola bottling plant in town.
A streamlined Marx 391 and the Bogota coach on a midday run. It’s a necessary trip for the railroad to make connections with the inter-city passenger runs. But not enough ridership on the branch to warrant any more coach seats.
