Is there any new information on if & when the Sunset Limited will ever restart service between JAX and NOL continuing on to LAX.
Why is there a delay or who is holding this service back?
Amtrak is probably happy they have been able to use a Superliner trainset spread over the other routes. The Sunset Limited is a very poor performer, schedule wise and financially. The problem is they can’t cancel it east of New Orleans, which would run the risk of losing the friendship of Trent Lott.
