Sunshine Kits

I know they are mail order only no website etc.

Can I call them to see if they have a kit I want in stock. Do I have to mail them to see if they have it?

Anybody have a phone number?

Thanks

Sunshine ONLY deals through the mail. If you want something, you have to write a letter (or just place an order and send a check) and WAIT (and wait a LONG time; they’re backlogged by several months).

It may not be a very “modern” business model, but that’s the way the owner does things, and that’s that. No wonder I only buy their kits at the Naperville show; it’s the only way I’m willing to put up with their business model!

Do they have stock on hand or do they make it when you order it? I am not really in a hurry but they have some models I would really like to have. Until then I guess it is going to be F&C Resin kits I guess.

Thanks

I have mail ordered from Sunshine several times. You send them a check and they cash it when they send you the item. You should not be surprised if it takes six months. This, incidentally, means that you have to be REALLY careful when you reconcile your checkbook. They have discontinued items over time, but it seems like not so many. When you order, you need to be specific about what you want–the part/model number is the way to go (and a description for just in case). If you have questions, you might send them to Sunshine with an SSAE–I’m sure they’ll respond. I’m not sure how they handle orders where they have some items in stock but not others.

I am very happy with my mail order dealings with Sunshine. They are very good people making some really wonderful and rare products. I wish them a long happy business life, admittedly for my own greedy purposes.

I might add that I do see them live about once a year when they visit the San Francisco Bay Area. Big fun also.
