Does anybody know if the following numbers are prototypical? i HAVE THE LEGO
10022 super chief cars set II which builds a sleeper, diner and observation car. I WANT TO KNOW if these were used on the cars, or LEGO made them up.
i want to use the train for 1951-1956
these are the numbers: 606, 503, 1340 66,
2417, 1928. please help! LEGO put 2417 on the observation car
606 is the diner, 503 is the dome, 66 is a “Regal” sleeper (Regal Lark), 1340 is a dorm/lounge. THose I know off the top of my head. I will research the other two.
Edit: it would appear that #1928 was a heavyweight baggage car, and I can’t find anything on #2417.
The observation would have been a 4-1 “Vista” series observation during the time period you mentioned. I don’t believe these cars were numbered in the capacity you are looking for. That explains why the number makes no sense. It looks as if Lego took a little creative liberty in this case. I guess they made up numbers for the cars that were not actually numbered.
I wrote you a bibliography on information for #1928 but the server ate it when I attempted to submit it. Here we go again…
