Super Detailed Engines

If you have an engine that you’ve super detailed and want to post photos of it, than this is the place to do it.[:)]

My Athearn DASH 9

I added a thread to look like the speed cable.(that’s what that is, right?)

Very Nice![8D]
Did you use a Santa Fe Detail Set from Details West?

Thats nice lookin darth, keep up the good work. unfortunately i have not super detailed anything[V]

your photos are a bit dark , maybe try using a sheet of paper or something to reflect some more light onto the loco body … but wow! your models look great !!! and i don’t even like diesels [:)]

EDIT: on second viewing the reflected light trick might only help the middle picture where the side of the loco is dark and the end is lighter . as for the darkness of the pictures , perhaps someone with more photographic skills than i can suggest something . i only mention this because i’d really like to get a better view of your loco

They could be lightened in a paint program - Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, etc. without much problem. I often have to adjust the contrast in my digital photos.

I turned the camara’s flash off, that’s why they’re dark. On the digital camara, they looked really bright.

Actually, I drilled holes in the shell and used some copper wire for the grab irons and MU cables and hoses. The windshield wipers are painted on the windows and the wiper’s posts are also magnet wire. The windshield and windows are the original windows which I cut off of the one piece windshield and glued in. The snowplow is a spare that came with my P2K SD60.[:D]
