Super O 112 Switches

Does anyone have procedure to add lamps or led lighting inside Lionel Super O 112 switch housing, I I have several switches and I removed the motor cover to replace lamps that I was told are plug in type. I do not see a socket or any sign that there were lamps inside. I amd ask if anyone has a schematic to install Led’son lamps.
since they operate on Ac to use led’s require Dc maybe a diode needs to be installed.
I would appreciate any information or opinions.I have up dated a lot of dc trains but not many ac trains even though I have several older trains.

I haven’t worked with Super O at all, but I did find these diagrams at Trainz.com.

These particular turnouts seem to have pin type lamps, which means that visibly the socket means two holes or the like into which the pins are received. You would certainly have no need to install a diode; LED stands for Light Emitting Diode! An LED can run just fine on AC as it is self-rectifying. It will actually flash on and off, but it will do this 60 times a second and therefore be essentially imperceptible (some cameras, especially when you slow down the video, will show it). The only issue would be voltage level, as LEDs run off a very low voltage. Fortunately, there are several available that have a built-in resistor, such as these GutReise 10pcs E10 Screw 24V Cold White Spot Led Bulb Light Lamps +10pcs E10 Base (DC24V, Cold White) - Amazon.com. They don’t have the right base but they come with the socket. As such, you could install the new socket in there or something. I’m by no means an expert in any scale, but I have had a tiny bit of experience with O (about 2 or 3 years) and if you have any other questions I’ll be glad to try to give the best answer I can! Also, welcome to the forum!
