Superb British Layout

The January 1961 MR featured the British O finescale layout of W.S. Norris. Mr. Norris’ layout was a work of art, particularly the trackwork. I’m an American, and model American prototypes, but I have long admired British railroads, prototype and models. I was just wondering if there’s a website where more of Mr. Norris’ work is displayed. I realize 1961 is a long time ago!!

There is only one picture of his outstanding work in the web:

Ulrich,

Thanks! What craftsmanship. Incidentally, I did see a photo credited to Mr. Norris in Ernest F. Carter’s Model Railway Encylopedia (1951 edition) that shows a large O gauge layout, and the caption says that it had since been dismantled in favor of “truescale,” which leads me to believe the photo was of a previous layout by Mr. Norris, probably built in the 1940’s or earlier.
