trying to remember the name of the supplier of the sunny white surface mount LEDs which even have the leads attached,want to say Richmond something or other

Can anyone help?

If you don’t need quite that tiny, Radio Shack offers similar SMD LEDs big enough that I managed to solder leads to. Made this dwarf signal, for instance.

I used red and green, but IIRC they had some kind of white, also. They were listed variously between 1.4 and 1.8 mm, but that includes the small case and lens they were embedded in. Very directional, so good for signals (and headlamps if they do have white ones.)

Another option might be Evan designs. I have had good experience with buying there.

Search 0603 or 0402 SMD LED on the auction site. Lots of choices and pretty good prices.
