I have searched these forums for info about suspending a single track around/above the windows and doors of rooms, but have not been able to find anything definitive as to a supplier of the parts required. Are there any supplliers of this type of material, or am I left to my own inability to design a system? Any help is ALWAYS welcome! Thanks.
Suspending the plywood or pine board can be done with L braces on the wall side and wire suspended from eye hooks in the ceiling on the outward side. Then you just lay the track and run feeder wires to it. Those I have seen are as simple as that. The heft of the bracing will depend on if you plan to add heavy scenery. To hide the L brackets they can be hung from the top.
Thanks for the advice. I figured on using the brackets from the walls and will probably use cable where the track is crossing the hallway. I was wondering about the availability of an already made solution. Found a couple, but at over a grand for my living room, I can buy a LOT of nice wood and make my own. Thanks again.
