Do you all know were I can go on the web to trade equipment. I have two of the same sets in my collection and would rather trade it to somebody who will enjoy it rather than sell it on ebay only to be broken up after bought and relisted on ebay. That way it would be a win win situation. Any help would be appreciated.
some LHs’s will sell your stuff on consignment…I know that Papa Ben’s Train Place in houston, texas does…or take it to a train show…some of the vendors will be happy to trade stuff with you…chuck
I used to have the website www.trainstotrade.com (now it is trains.sagepointe.com) just for that purpose. It was free, but no one seemed interested in using it. If you belong to www.the-guage.com forum, they have a section for trading stuff as well.
I think there’s a yahoo group called backshop where buying, selling and trading model railroad items is the purpose
