Nice looking engine and great weathering, I wonder how far across North America this loco would get with that tiny coal box??? Who makes this locomotive???

Thanks tatans.
I don´t konw how far the loco would get.
I have built it myself.

Beautiful craftsmanship, as good if not better than products from Japan or Korea, keep us posted on any new projects (your weathering is superb)

Thanks a lot tatans!

Here is a switcher class Z43 199 also in brass.

Both are painted and weathered by my frind Bengan also lives in Sweden. [;)]

This craftsmanship is amazing, the coaches are great, I assume S J is the Swedish National Railway??? It’s nice to see some model railroading from other parts of the world, I was beginning to think only Canada and the U.S. were into MR, but where are the other world modelers?? any in Mexico??? Argentina?? Italy?? Latvia?? Iceland?? Always glad to see another side to this hobby. (it’s “switcher”)

Beautiful work, Mika. [tup] Are these complete scratchbuilds or kits? You should post more photos and information about the building process.

As for non-U.S. power, have a Swiss Railways C 5/6 (a 2-10-0) that I was given about 10 years ago. It’s a beautiful model, and the prototype - 2978 - has been preserved and still runs. The model says Roco, but it looks more like some of the engines Jouef made.

Thanks SteamFreak!

I´m happy you that like my models.

They are all kits, for the steam locomotive I used a chassie that I modified.

SJ = Statens Jarnvagar = The State Railway.

Here is som pix during the bulding.

The boiler.

And played around with Photoshop… [;)] [:D]

Phu, many pix is there… [:D]

Sure, I can tell about the building process.
Any special you want to know?

/Mika in Sweden.

Sure, though your photos explained a lot. Are you using any special techniques for soldering, or perhaps something like jeweler’s silver solder. Do you use a large iron, or a small torch?

Which manufacturer provided the frame for the steamer? Amazing what some paint and weathering does for those drivers. [tup]

Very nice model. I discovered Swedish equipment only a few years ago, and would like to own some of it as H0scale models. With the above do you would say that this model is NO kit from any manufacturer, that you build it ENTIRELY by yourself?

I use 179 Deg. C Tin/lead/Silver Solder.

I´m using a Weller WD 1000 solderingunit with replaceable tips.

For the steam locomotive I used a Trix, German BR73, chassie that I altered heavely.

All the models are made from etched sheets, see pix.
