Sweethome music video (Hotel California)

I’ve just finished uploading my second music video. This time it’s a cover of Eagles ‘Hotel California’, with all the instruments played by my son Steve. It’s a real ‘Team Grant’ combined effort and even one of the cats (Pushkin) got in on the act.

The other music video was made from old Sweethome Chicago footage, with music by my friend Matt Stevens, from his album ‘Relic’

Jon,

Great stuff and some of the best video of a model. Thanks for sharing it.

The Apocalypse:

“… and a giant cat appeared out of the blue sky and ate the train…”

Wonderful video, Jon!

Jon.

Congratulations are in order for both you and your son, Steve. It’s just not fair that one family should have so much talent. You with your modelling and videography skills and your son Steve with his musical and musical track blending skills. [tup][tup] Please don’t stop inspiring us during the coming New Year.

Blue Flamer.

Great work as always Jon, you pack a lot of operation into a small module. It’s an inspiration to those of us who think they have to have a basement empire!

Jon:

I couldn’t get the first video to load–got a message that said it had been ‘removed by the user’–but the second video is absolutely outstanding! Great work from you and your son. [bow]

Apologies for that, I had to re-load the first video. Here’s the new link

Jon:

Your son is as outstanding a musician as you are a modeler–and that’s really SOMETHING in my book! Wonderful video–and a special treat to see what looks like the British version of a Maine Coon Cat. Thanks for posting it!

Pushkin sometimes makes it on to the layout

And in Alabama today a train was ruthlessly attacked by a 60 foot cat! Film at 11!

Jon:

Is Pushkin possibly a Siberian Cat? They’re getting kind of popular here in the states. They resemble both Maine Coon and Norwegian Forest cats (I’ve got one of each), and are really sweet!

She is of unknown origin, as we inherited her after my mother passed away in 2003. Although mostly pedigree, we think there’s bits of this, bits of that in her, so we call her a Norwegian Blue (after the Monty Python Parrot sketch).

Her fur mats terribly in the summer no matter how much we brush her and she molts it off in big lumps, often requiring cutting with scissors. She’s very photogenic though - Christmas Day
