With the storms in the Midwest the last couple of days I was passing time on the web and found a new turn out control. Has anyone seen any information on “Blue Point™ Manual Turnout Control”?
Just a new product on the market, available soon.
Looks like a tortoise!

i guess it would be worth it …except…the trains won’t run either if the power goes out…unless you’re into hand throwing your turnouts in the dark then I can’t see the benefits of an automatic / manual turnout throw…and another question…are they as reliable as a tortoise?
I looked at the web site the other day. $13 for the linkage, and no cabling or motor! It is not a Tortoise - there is no motor - only a pair of switch contacts…

Your right Jim wow that’s expensive for a manual throw!!
Ken.
I have been looking for a manual trow for the back part of my layout and just use the digitrax for the yard work. I think my little boy would get a kick out of haveing some controll… Joseph
I only saw them in the ad in RMC and MR. Now that there is a web site link - holy ^$%@&! $12.95?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! What are they smoking? I can get a Tortoise for that price and have my turnout motorized!
Oh well, nice try I guess.

I am still a fan of Humpyard for remote and Caboose for close in. I have some tortise, but am moving away from toggle control to more prototype action.
That’s always nice, except my prototype remotely controlled mainline turnouts from central board even in the 50’s. So Tortoises and stationary decoders would be more prototypical for me [:D][:D][:D]
