Switch Stands

While doing a search on EBay for switch stands, I found some really nice switch stands. Selley and Details West were the ones that stood out, but what got me were some of the prices the sellers were asking. (Plus Shipping) I then performed a search on “yahell” and found cheaper prices thru both Hobbylinc and Details West I now plan to put switch stands on my new layout.

I will have to set down and kitbash em to make em operational switch stands. (Moving Target) But that’s a project for another day.

Johnnny,

Why don’t you post links to the actual switch stands so we can see which ones you are talking about instead of posting links to the Internet sites for the vendors?

Rich

At Hoddylinc I found a “Selley” switch stand part # SEL112 they have it marked at $1.93 plus shipping as I type. Sorry can’t link to the drawing you’ll have to look it up yourself.

As for Details West you can see a selection of switch stand in this picture, http://www.detailswest.com/images/wpe63935.gif They run from $3.50 a pair (SS-914, SS-915) to $3.75 each for SS-917. The one I like is SS-914 In the photo its the second from the left side with the red target.

Edit: Not everything on Ebay is a bargain. I once needed a door latch for a 35MM camera I have, found the thing selling for a penny but the shipping charges were $49.95 I finally found a seller that was selling camera’s like mine and asked him if he had the latch and bought one from him for one dollar including shipping. So when you shop on Ebay, check the fine print.
