Sylvan Models

Anyone have any tips or comments on Sylvan Models HO resin vehicles or structure kits? They have a great selection of cars & trucks that look interesting. Thanks, Roger Huber

I have built a number of Sylvan Scale Models kits, and have some more to build on the shelf. Very good quality resin kits, hollow castings with interiors and driver figures. This Dysarts Mack COE is one of them.

Good customer service - when I had a small problem, they replied quickly. I would recommend them

Roger,

I really like and enjoy Sylvan Models because they offer cars and trucks that fit my early 40s era layout. Here’s a pic of their '37 Terraplane and '40 Plymouth(?) sedan:

Before Sylvan came along, the only alternative were the styrene kits from Jordan. Now Sylvan, Classic Metal Works, Athearn, and Ricko have now filled in the '30-'48 gap quite nicely.

Be sure that you follow the directions and clean off the release agent from the resin with mild soapy water and rinse before assembling and painting them.

G Paine,

Really nice job on that Mack COE. Wish I can work like that. I have a Chevrolet grain truck still in it’s box.

I HAVE BUILT MANY OF THEIR KITS AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMEND THEM.THEY GIVE EXCELLENT AND PROMPT SERVICE. YOURS JOHN K
