Syracuse N.Y show Nov 6th and 7th

Alrighty folks…who is in this year??..Maybe I can catch up with ya again Ray!!..

I’m in…If the weather holds for the weekend. Buffalo TV is hitting at a major snowstorm for that weekend now.

Hey Tim!

Good to see you! Doesn’t look promising that I will make the Syracuse Show this year. The weekend is already overbooked with birthday parties and i have to be aout at the R&GV RR Museum on Saturday…

The LSD and CNY of the NMRA are planning a combined Meet in Auburn again in January. Maybe I will see you there?

Alright, can you give us some more info?

Like where, when, costs, hours, directions. link to a website about it, etc?

I could be interested in going but need more info than “syracuse train show”

Is it at the fairgrounds for instance?

I think we can go, would like to go {have to check finances} and would have liked to have met Ray there also, but I see he’s not going.

SO, please more info?

Thanks

EDIT: I found it.

Here is a link for other interested parties:

I will be there with my other half and hopefully a train nut friend of ours.

We decided to go alreadya s other half has Sat off from work so we can go,

Trainnut friend is out of town to a wedding so have to wait to ask him but I am sure he will want to go.

WHo else is going?

based on my experiences at the Show last year and the State Fair this year, i will certainly not be going to it this year or any other year. as a warning to those that may be handicapped or have friends or relatives with mobility problems. there is no handicapped parking at all. all the shuttlebusses from the lot to the arenas are not handicap accessable. also the two arenas that house the models and part of the sales area and the larger sales area are about a half mile apart. while the buildings are handicap accessable, the site is not.

my other beef with the state fair is both personal and shows the nature of the administration. my family went to see 2 free concerts, both times we were accosted by rude obnoxious drunk stoned people. of course the police couldnt do anything, as they said they were there to just break up fights. the area should have about 6000 it had 30-50k on both occassions. after those events,i swore never to go to the fairgrounds for any event, even the Second Coming.

it could be a good show IF they would get handicap busses and have them on a constant circuit. but of course, greed and incompetance will win out.

looking foreward to the Fulton show the next weekend

Sorry about your experiences.

I will as I would, take my cane, and know that there will not be much if any seating around to sit down should I need to. I expect that.

WHere when, costs, location, directions to, details about the Fulton show? LInk to a website for it?

There is one thing you have to consider with this. The historical society is pretty much at the mercy of the State Fairgrounds when it comes to the parking and the shuttle buses. I know both services are crappy but I never here any solution as to where we can put a show that large the will satisfy every ones beefs. The Fair runs the shuttle…(which they charge $$$ to the historical society) and control the parking. You also have to remember that there are also many other shows the same weekend at the fairgrounds that add to the parking snafu. There is no comparison to the state fair itself to the historical society…I too have many issues with the fair but I will not or never take it out on the organi
