T&P West Texas Eagle 1961

I realize that this is a truly arcane question, but I thought someone might have a timetable or other resource with the answer. I’m trying to find out the consist of the eastbound Texas Eagle on October 13, 1961. It left Abilene, Texas late morning (11:00 a.m.?) and after a layover in Ft. Worth of maybe an hour or so, arrived in Dallas about 4:00p.m.-- maybe a little later.

Any suggestions will be most helpful, especially as to head-end power.

Mike

The below link is from a GREAT resource, but doesn’t give much in the way of power or exact consists:

After looking at that page, it looks as if there was at a minimum of one sleeper from New York that came over the Pennsy. That is stated as being a 14/4 sleeper, and I am not sure if T&P/MoPac had any 14/4s, or if was a Pennsy car, or if they both had 14/4s on their roster.

Appearantly the rest were coaches, with at least one divided coach at the time of the schedule (which is prior to '61). It looks as if all diner and snack car services terminated in Ft Worth. It also looks as if there was no baggage service to El Paso (I am not too sure about that one).

I would assume that it was either Es of GPs to El Paso. Again, that is pure speculation. I will see what else I can dig up and post it.

Edit: Well, it looks like MoPac definately had 14/4 sleepers, and had been known to operate more than one divided chair car in their trains.
