I don’t know anything yet about the movie but we can hope the train gets in a lot of the movie.
And it is a STEAM engine. [:D]

Leelee Sobieski, Timothy Hutton and David Strathairn are to star in Heavens Fall about the trial of the Scottsboro Boys. Sobieski plays one of two women who accuse nine black youths of rape, making for one of the most volatile trials to take place in the segregated South. Azura Skye plays the second accuser, who recants and sparks a second trial that might clear the defendants, most of whom received the death penalty. Hutton plays Sam Leibowitz, a renowned Gotham defense attorney who has never lost a capital case. Bill Sage, Anthony Mackie and James Tolkan also star with Terry Green writing and directing.

We can hope that the train is a major player, but it doesn’t sound like it’ll be worth seeing the entire movie if all you want to see is the railroad action. Leelee Sobieski, however…
[:D][:D]I’ll second that!![:D][:D]
This sounds like it ought to be a good movie. I remember an article in Classic Toy Trains about a hobby store that has supplied toy trains for use in movies. It mentioned another movie also about this same event that was entitled “Judge Horton and the Scotboro Boys” where they supplied a prewar Lionel tinplate train that was used in the movie to represent a real train! I haven’t seen it, but from hearing that, I doubt it would be very accurate in other areas either. Thankfully the people in charge of this production seem to be going for more realism!
