T-Trak Group Project: Video Blog – Recap
From everyone’s reaction it really was a good team building project. I think you increased Chris’s desire to get to work on her t-trak modules as well.
Very nice result! This looks like a more “fun” project for a group. I am personally still stuck in the idea of a layout with a theme, but it is really refreshing to see what people do when given their chance to do their own piece of a layout. Every module was well done and all were very creative. Plus, each one has a personal meaning to its builder. Overall this was a delight to watch.
Great project to showcase what can be accomplished in n scale.
I could just say WOW for each of the modules that you guys modeled, they are each in their own way special, but seriously that is some first class modeling by each member of the team…bravo MRVP. Can’t wait to see trains running on them, but which railroads will be displayed by the locos and cars?
great series
Amazing work everyone. If you are looking for votes on the best module, my vote is for the Elkins Park module. I can’t wait to see the operation video.
Great job everybody.
Pelles module show that less can be more. Looking very forward to an article or series on Kents method for sculpting rocks.
Drew, have you thought about maybe doing a “how to” article in MR magazine on those terrific looking N- scale palm trees PS. David, great idea on this I think !
Completely amazing. GREAT presentation. I agree, everyone did a fantastic job. My favourite part of being a MR subscriber is MRVP.
WOW!! This is Soooo Coool!! Thanks to everyone who contributed modules I look forward to seeing some trains run on these - please explain how you hook them up, !
Well done, everyone. Those modules all look fantastic. I can’t wait to see them together and running.
Kent, where can I find info/photos on the prototype for those “Lego” blocks? Thanks.
For so long, I have watched many videos on the projects from MR. This is the best I’ve seen thus far. The most impressive were the comments made by many of the participants. It seems as if it has inspired them to do more projects in “N-SCALE”. I visited Broadway Limited International yesterday and surprisingly, I overheard one of the employees speaking to another gentleman that N-scale has gained more in popularity. The T-Trak project was excellent. Thanks David and participants.
A great job done by all, can’t wait to see trains run. Very well done.
This have been a very fun series to watch, with a number of staff getting involved who are usually behind the scenes. Was impressed that by modeling the mundane, Pelle’s work seems even more realistic. Would be cool to see the modules at Trainfest this year!
This is a superb series. Well done y’all and looking forward to seeing the trains a runnin’!
Truthfully, I had my doubts when this project was announced, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Hats off to all the participants modeling some area from their hometown. I can identify with modeling what we’ve seen on the railroad, how they deal with erosion, drainage, careless with the junk they leave behind and not wasting time on something that doesn’t generate revenue. I agree with Mike, this needs to be displayed at Trainfest 2016.
Question: Was David Popp the only participant with N scale experience?
The series reminds me of a challenge by Linn Westcott in one of his “At the Throttle” columns back in the early 1960’s. It was titled “This Could Be Your Layout.” He was describing the next few pages that featured the Gorre & Daphetid. However, one of his last statements was that we as modelers should try to do at least one square foot of our layouts in the best detail possible, just to show we can do it. When I saw these completed T-Trak modules, Linn’s challenge came to mind.
