I have some areas of my layout which are flat areas of plywood; what can you do as a base for scenery to eliminate the dead flat appearance and give some texture? I know i might have thought to cover them with styrofoam, and then roughed that up, but it is now too late for that.
Small scraps of bubble wrap, bubble side down. Pop some of the bubbles in random places and at the edges.
Small wads of paper, cover with plaster cloth, paint and landscape!
Parking lot?
Soccer Field?
Scale wheat and a sign that says ‘Kansas State Line’?
To all,
Definitely a soccer field lol!

Town square with people looks really nice. Or a pond/fishing hole.
Jack.
I used different thickness of styrofoam and covered it with layers of papertowel soaked in plaster.
