Personally, I read first. Sometimes other readers can point out interesting things that I Might not have noticed. Usually it doesn’t effect my vote, but I like to read first anyway.

I would read it first,so I can find out what the photographer says about the shot and the location!
Vote first. Go with my gut reaction to each pic. I usually go with whichever one gives me the “Man I wish I was there to get that shot.”
