Take a ride on the LP&CL Garden Railroad
The on board camera’s were once unique, but people tend to over do them, you can only look at the inside of tunnels so much.
The real beauty of garden video’s is to show how unique your creation is.
The thought you have put in to them and how creative the person building it can be!!.
Just my thought’s
I completely agree with you Phillip. the purpose of the video was to check some trackwork and elevations. Its great vantage point in my opinion. thanks for the comment. I need to take a new video now that the double track is complete.
This is a beautiful railroad and I enjoyed the ride.
very good I enjoyed it
this is a very cool lay out looks like a lot of work went in to ityou did a good job . Don
I enjoy watching your videos. Must be nice to have the space to build such a rail system. It would be nice to see a caboose on the tail end, if only for old times sake, but it’s great to see at any rate. Keep’em rolling.
Liked the video because it showed all the views from different parts of the train as if riding it yourself.
Nice layout…seems to be coming along nicely.I would love to have a garden railroad but the missus thinks a basement full is enough without impeding HER garden . Ha Ha…
Wonderful. I enjoyed the sounds of the engine and track. Also, it gave me comfort seeing the different kinds of rail in use. I am overcoming the end of rail gap, though. I got a couple of sections of ties and break them up into the number of ties I need to fill a gap and slide 'em into position. A little gravel or scratch then holds them in position.
Your video was a fine treat.
Looks good! I like the onboard shots, and use them for the same reason (to check for trouble spots…)
Really excellent video. Looks like you did a very good job engineering your RR.
Chris, not having experimented with video taping our I.S.R.R. my wife I enjoyed the tour of your efforts. Gave us some ideas about checking our trackwork from the camera’s eye. Thanks, Stan & Irene.
Fantastic!!!
Very nice layout. Enjoyed the rides.
I agree with Phillip Gray. I enjoyed the first ‘stand-off’ views but lost interest during the second ‘ride-on’ clip and started flicking through the segment looking for more distance shots.
It looks like a good layout but I would liked to have seen more of the railroad setting from a distance.
I have to add I don’t have a layout yet but plans are being drawn up as we speak. So yours and other layout videos just go to inspire me.
Thanks for sharing.
fantastic layout fantastic video
I am very impressed the track work alone is well done
this is the way a garden raiway should be thought out.
I may have to start all over & do my layout properly.
I was very impressed with the layout. I find the on board camera very usefull in getting a viewpoint from the immaginary people riding on the train. Normally I think we run the trains faster than scale speed. My scale is narrow guage and the ride appears from the camera view more like a roller coaster ride than a leisurely trip down the track. I have since learned to slow the traiin down to a more realistic speed.
Chris,
I grew up in Brookhaven. Graduated from Chamblee High School in 1947. I think I use to work in those woods where you got your railroad.
I would carry hundredpound bags of sugar for a family friend. I wont tell
you what we did with it but I sure wish we had your railroad then.
The way you’r layilng track you may be in Illinois soon. I’ll keep an eye out for you
Keep it rolling.
