There are a lot of issues in the Tampa Bay area, but it’s almost universally accepted that lack of transportation options is the dominant one for 2018.

Privately funded local transit began to die out in the 1930’s and had pretty much vanished by 1970. Unless the political climate in the Tampa-St. Pete area changes, this proposal isn’t going anywhere.
