what type of factorys might you find them
I have a couple and they came in kit form from Walthers. Pretty easy to assemble and everything is prepainted and ready to go. They fit in my well cars just like the normal containers do.

As for where can you find them I used to see them on the cars waiting to be pulled into the Norfolk terminal just a little north of Norfolk Navy Base. I could not get a good look at what was in them but they were comming and going on the ships. I am going guess that just about anyplace that takes a commodity that can be shipped in a tank car or truck can also recieve the tank containers.

Factories not located near railroad tracks.
The idea behind these is that a tank car does not need to be unloaded in to a tank trailer then moved to a location for the product to be used. Just load the container onto a trailer the same as a cargo container and off it goes. When empty just return it back to railroad.
