We’re fourtunate enough to be getting some of our money back this year from Uncle Sam. I called my wife and I said. . .“We’re getting a refund! I’m getting a GP35 in Southern Pacific!” She said, “You go get your GP35, I’m going to Pottery Barn!”
brothaslide, I don’t understand… What is your wife going to get at Pottery Barn that you can use on your RailRoad? Guess I been widowed too long… LOL
Hey there Ray, you should connect with Don Gibson, another great musician/modeler.
Hey Ray - I saw that you use to be a music teacher - I maintian the Locke Saints Marching Band and Drill Team website: www.lockesaints.com
Hope you enjoy!
I gets nothin’ back. [:(!]
I got something back from the IRS, a CERTIFIED LETTER!
I get everything back because I’m a student. My parents on the other hand have been getting the shaft this year and last because of a major error at the accountants. It should be fixed this year and we should get a major hunk back, I hope… Anyway that money is earmarked for a toyota prius. At 60 MPG the saving over the vehicle it will replace will pay 1/3 of the cost over the life of the loan on it. Priorities you know…
Jesse
Yeah, I am a small biz owner… Tax time is never good news…
Filed both mine electronically and had my refunds back in February. If I do it quick I don’t think about all my money they are wasting.
I have nothing but good to say about then IRS this year. They redid my taxes so I got an additional $4000.00 over what I was expecting which is usually pretty close to break even.
I couldn’t agree more. Dave

locomotive3, I noticed that Don Gibson is a musician several weeks ago. He is certainly one of the people here at the forum whose advise I take very seriously (even if he is a bit grumpy sometimes - us musicians tend to get that way after time - mine was from dealing with administration for 32 years! LOL) There seems to be quite a few of us involved in this great hobby!
brothaslide, great web site! I particularly liked the statement on the home page about the value of Music Education! Our local School Bored (spelled correctly!) is considering cutting Vocal Music this year (my old job) at the Middle School level. Evidently their math skils aren’t too good. Those students will still have too be in a class somewhere. Lets see one class of 100 or how many classes of 20? When California cut music back in the 70’s they found out two things. One, taxes went up to pay for the extra classes they had to add, and two SAT scores went down… End of rant!
Thanks for your posts! [:D]
