Here’s a picture of my first building attempt, and my new baby parked in front. Let me know what you think. Josh
looking good !
Looks very impressive, Josh. Can I assume that you will eventually elevate the buiding so that the stilts’ feet are at the same level as the cork roadbed? Otherwise your clearances will be a bit tight for the loco…just my observation. But, that is a fine looking building, and the loco ain’t to shabby either! [:D]
It’s all good! But make sure that there is enough clearence for a loco, even if it isn’t prototypical. I have a 1 track mi, ad whe the cars overshoot, or anything like that, the only way to fetch them is to 0-5-0 them.
Trainboy
Engli***ranslation, please?[:D]
Jeff
If he doesn’t make it back to here, I think he was saying that due to low clearances at one spot, if he mistakenly pushes some cars too far under the clearance with a bigger loco, he has to chase them with his 1-4-0 (or 0-5-0, his hand).
Thanks for the compliments. Yes, I need to elevate it up. The engine doesnt quite fit. The doghouse on the tender bumps the bottom of the tipple. It also came with “concrete” footings that have to be painted and installed yet also.
I need to weather the tipple too. Josh
Excellent looking pieces. Is that a Life Like 2-8-8-2? It’s a sharp looking mallet. And in Pennsylvania even, that always makes it better.[:D]
yup, its a LL. and it is indeed in the livery of the greatest railroad ever.
Love it!
Awesome job, especially for your first building project! Beautiful loco too
