Tech Question

When I view online rail videos using RealPlayer or Windows Media, the picture is about the size of 2 postage stamps. Do I have some setting wrong, or this somehow normal?

Sorry, your system is behaving the way it should. A larger picture requires a lot of available power, which means that one has to pay dearly for that capability. So, if you want on-line video in full screen, shell out, say $2000 for a windows based system or really go for it with a Mac around double that price! It’ll spoil ya rotten. I know I tried my girlfriend’s Mac and it makes my Windows xp system look sick by comparison.[X-)]

Thanks, I appreciate the info. At least I know it’s not my fault.

This is normal, and probably the way it was originally loaded, but at least with Real Player you have an option. When the video starts to play, move your mouse cursor over the image. In the top left corner of the picture you should get a small rectangle with 100%, 1x, 2x, and a strange looking symbol (for full screen). It should default to the 1x (100%) setting. To enlarge it just click on the 2x or the symbol. One drawback, this won’t increase the resolution, so if the video was loaded at low resolution, you’ll have a very grainy picture when you enlarge it.

Thanks, I’ll give it a try.

Windows Media Player also has setting allowing you to change the size, you can set it default to a certain size screen or to adjust to be ‘as big as possible’ essentially.
