It is a shame that wooden depots burn-down.
Nobody is scared of the railroad.
I photographed this depot back in the 1980s…yet another depot that is now gone.

I hope the kid finds the justice he deserves. Not so light that he’ll do it again, and not so heavy as to ruin his life. It’s just a tragedy that history can be so easily lost.
This sounds like yet another case where society supposedly failed the child. This is similar to schools too where (as a baby boomer) the kid failed, not the school or the teacher. Be it legal issues, school, or society, the child nor parents are held accountable in the last 30 years. It is everyone else’s fault.
Sounds like a slap on the wrist.

I visited this depot a few years ago with my son during our March school holiday while on our way to Gettysburg and took some photos. I remember the eaves troughs leaking and I wondered if the station"s days were numbered. I guess they were but for a different reason. I’m glad I saw this building before it met its end. What a shame.
