I couldn’t help but notice that all of the other forums had coffe shops, so I figured I would start a teen railfan/model railroader coffe shop right here!!!

Im Alec, and im 13, i am a rail photographer and i model also. My favorite roads are Wisconsin Central, SOO Line, CNW, MRL (love the SD45’s and the SD40’s) and i like the CP and Rock Island.

I saw 10 trains in 1 hour and had no camera!

If you read what did I miss? I heard a train horn for 5-8 minutes and saw nothing.

HI I C. I AM AN RAILFAN OF PONCE DE LEON FL. RIGHT BESIDE OF THE CSX FLORIDA MAIN LINE. I VIDEO TAPE TRAINS ALONG THE CSX MAIN IN PONCE DE LEON AND IN MOSSEY HEAD (THAT WHERE THE DOUBLE TRACKS ARE).
Hi I am Kevin age 13 and I live in Evans,GA. I like any kind of railroad and mostly SD70’s are my favorites.
here are some stories I once saw CSX 237 in Hamlet,NC hours before it wrecked in Charlotte,NC and I was chasing the CSX 700(spirt of Cumberland) and it got to this one crossing and then engineer said ‘‘HE GOT HIT HE GOT HIT’’ if found out to be that someone threw a rock and hit the conductor in the head.[V]

10 trains in one hour??? Sounds like you were in Elmhurst Illinois, there the UP runs triple track through downtown, and there is atrain every 10 minutes- talk about instant gratification![:D]

My dad and I are both very avid railfans. On a recent trip to Montana , we came across three brand new GEVOS, all painted in the brand new BNSF scheme, so we chased them for about two hours. The funny part is that we were driving our Jeep, and we were pulling a twenty-foot camper. I got great shots and it turned out to be one of our best- and oddest chases. Heck, the crew even coaught on to what we were doing, and took notice, they probably thought we were nuts… And maybe we are![;)]

They arn’t the last F45’s. New York Susquehanna and Western is restoreing one for service.

Thanks again again to everyone who contributed, and I have an idea I would like to put out to all who have contributed to this forum. So please, hear me out!
I was thinking that maybe this fourum could be a place where teens like us could just come and discuss trains and railfanning, and what’s going on with railroads today.
What do you all think???
Should this be a sort of teen railfan only place to just talk trains?
Or sould I shut up and keep my ideas to myself or what- please let me know.
We could start something that all railfans our age could use and enjoy, and we could keep it going for a long time
So what do ya say???
