Hi my name is Eric Ridyolph, I am a toy train operator and garden railroader. I LOVE the Union Pacific and like anything that deals with western railroading. I would like to hear from all the other teens on the forums. What say you?
Hey I’m a teen model railroader and am a huge fan of New Jersey Transit I have a bachman NJT F40PH with a E.S.U. sound decoder and it sounds great i also have a 8x8 layout with a 4x4 operators cab cutout
Good to meet you.
Hi there, I’m a teen interested in O-gauge model railroading. I have a 4 by 8 layout featuring the Bridgewater, Bedford and Blackrock Railroad, a fictional shortline in south-central Pennsylvania during the late 1930’s. My latest project is a large lake atop the mountain on the east end of the table, which I made with ModelMaster paints, a bag of small artificial stones (only two bucks at Wal*Mart [;)]), and Woodland Scenics’ various water-simulating products. It’s still drying, but here’s one shot:
I plan to add ripples afterwards using the Water Effects paste. As the photo shows, I started placing some HO figures along the bed to increase the forced perspective from below.
With the exception of G scale, you name the scale, prototype, and era, chances are I have modeled it at one point.
Well in all the time I have been reading the forums I never knew there was one for younger railfans. The only forums I read were the TRAINS and MODEL RAILROADER ones. I’m Joe. I live in central Connecticut. There is a lot to do around here in regards to trains. CSX, Providence & Worcester, Pan Am Railways, Metro-North, Connecticut Southern, New England Central and Amtrak all operate here in the state in addition to the many tourist operations including the Naugatuck Railroad (where I work) and the Essex Steam Train. Nice to meet you. Just curious, how old are you? I’m 18.
Hi all my name is Kade im also 18. I have loved trains all my life and Memphis is a great place to see them we have BNSF, NS, CSX, UP, CN, and Amtrak all reside here. I model Burlington Northern from 1980-1990 in HO scale. I have a 4x8 at the moment but im going to make it a 5x9 so i can run longer trains with bigger engines and a nice sized yard. I also have the chance to railfan in Tupelo Miss. which have BNSF and KCS to watch.
I’m andrew and i have a 4 by 6 layout with a large mountain at one end. My layout in based off the pennsy and so far i have a pair of f7s (pennsy), a mikado(unlettered), an 0-6-0(unlettered), 0-4-0(unletterd),and a brill trolly (4wheel)
Would you happen to be guilfordguy on youtube?
Hey everybody, Im a O gauge Lionel model railroader, also a teen, and lives in the great state of Georgia. I like NS and CSX. I have a 8x4 and in the process of building a 20x14.
Grayson
That’s awesome. Currently my Lionel roster is either in boxes or on shelves.
Wow. I never noticed this forum. I’m a teen modeler who loves the Boston & Maine and New England railroading in general.
Guilford Guy on youtube goes by the same moniker on this forum (Guilford Guy). He’s a close friend of mine and does some great work. He has also used the handle BMTRAINS.
I’m also a teen modeler, I model the Denver & Rio Grande Western and Soutern Pacific in the 1980’s and 90’s. My layout is in a 11’ x 20’ room that is only for my layout. Nothing like watching DRGW/SSW/SP tunnel motors griding through the mountains without having to leave the house!
I am a Teen modeler of the age of 17. I live in Denver. It started with a Lionel, then onto a ATSF 2-6-0 Steamer, then on to BN Powder River Basin(Which the main line is just a couple of blocks away…). I now am planing the Wasatch UP line in the mid '40. I also love Narrow gauge(What Coloradan doesn’t?).
16 from Ocala Florida. Started at 12 with UP, then Santa Fe, then BNSF, and now the Norfolk and Western in the 50’s. I saw J #611 on one of its excursions up Saluda Hill when I was three years old and I’ll never forget it. Currently I’m planning a freelance layout that connects to the NW due to the fact that I dont have the space or money for Y6B’s and class A’s. That day will come eventually.
Hi my name is Eric LOL i’m 13, I’M A HUGE NORFOLK SOUTHERN FAN! I have about 20 HO scale engines ,and I have a 35 x 30 x 25 foot layout that goes around my dads basement wall.
