Tell me, guys.

I’m going to Vancouver/Seattle this year.

Am I taking Mullan, Marias, or Logan pass?

I almost miss polls [;)]

If you are traveling on the Empire Builder then you are taking Marias and Stevens passes the former in the state of Montana and the latter in the state of Washington. If you are taking the Empire Builder then you are taking the best of the Superliner equipped trains that Amtrak offers.

It’s called a road trip, and it’s better for fanning [:P]

Anyone else?

Edit: Yes, I know there are no railroads over Logan pass, but it’s spectacular.

From Laggan? Wouldn’t that be the Rogers Pass?

I’ll be getting there on the way back (or maybe there) but the other direction I’ll be going through the states.

Matt, I would suggest that you go via Marias Pass for the BNSF action you will get there, and try to schedule your trip so that you can take the “Going-To-The-Sun” road in Glacier Park. That would be a dedicated side trip but well, well worth it. This is the road over Logan Pass. Make lots of use of that camera and its expensive lens. I’ve done this journey and it is well worth it.

Hey Rick, did I tell you it’s expensive lenses plural now? My 100-400mm is in the mail [;)]

on another forum, the vote is heavily tipped for Mullan, and I think I’m tipping a bit that way too, since it was only a year ago that I did Marias last, and it’s the only one I’ve been over with a good camera on my shoulder…
