I want one!!!
Having recently seen Consolidations, Moguls, and Americans, I’m patiently waiting for Mr. M or Mr. L to announce an early to mid 20th Century 10 Wheeler, scale sized, Full sound, command and fully detailed. For me, preferrably a NYC model to pull my commuter trains.

NYC F12g Ten Wheeler
I’d like to see one as well!!! Nice pics!

Mr. L has had Ten Wheelers with all the bells and whistles since 2002. The NYC flavor wears cab # 1916 and stock # 6-28098. I want one of the Frisco (#719, 6-38043) livery myself. Late in the steam era, these engines became known as “Berry Pickers” on the ol’ Frisco, as they came out of storage each year for harvest time extras.
I have #1916 as well. Mine is a very poor runner. It was from that era when nothing with TMCC ran well in conventional. Prior to Odysee I think. Even with TMCC it never ran absolutely smooth.
Could you clarify what “poor runner” means? As I said, I want one of the Frisco version, but I don’t have TMCC.
T.I.A.
Mine runs jerky in Command Mode and Very jerky in conventional. Not a smooth rolling engine at all. It must have predated Odysee.
The catalog claims it has/uses the Odessey, though it must have been an early example. Very interesting. Anybody else have one of the Lionel Ten Wheelers to compare performance?
Good luck on finding the Frisco version. I’ve been searching daily for nearly a year for a new or used one with no success. However I’m having second thoughts as this is the second or third report I’ve heard that they were poor runners.
If you find one and decide against it, let me know. I’m willing to give it a try [;)]
