Thanks to Jason for being way way out there! What a laugh!

Dave

My pleasure! Though I am quite disappointed with the results of the test… I mean come on, it was only a four-axle geep - not exactly heavy, is it? The track should have survived…

Jason,
I’d bet a thousdsand feet of it… that it will withstand a a very pretty HO gauge GMD-1 which I would like to test with…
Thank You Sir!! - For cracking me up, & having fun with you do!!!
Excellence!!!

Please go back and check your calculations. I suspect you did not take the effect of a full fuel tank into consideration.

Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant!

And so goes the mind trust at Rapido.

(How is it that Canadians have cornered the market on this type of humour?)

Jason, remember the CN Green Sleeper. (Sorry folks, inside joke.)

Because its only funny to da canooks eh…you betcha [(-D]

Yep, Jason is the Red Green of Railroading…

I’ll refrain from making comparisons of Dan to that “other guy”[swg]

Do you mean Harold?

I see some of Harold in Dan, just shorter. :+)

Jason

Thanks again for doing great videos that we enjoy!!!

I liked the past video testing of the shipping box for the new diesel and the cold weather testing of the Farr grills on you new diesel.

Keep it up and we will have to have an award show for best video soon.

CZ

Or we could just have a “Rapido Roast” w/ Jason the guest of honor.

Gee, it’ll be just like those congratulatory parties we throw for all the other…train…manufacturers…oh, that’s right, we don’t, do we?

Trust us Canadians to create a new version of rock star. Jason Schron: MR Wizzard!!

Oooohh,

Jason Shron, the Rock 'n Rapido star!

Hi Jason,

I believe your testing method was flawed. I spotted the problem right away. You made the mistake of using an older engine that obviously had “pizza cutter” wheels on it. Newer “scale wheels” would not have torn up the track like that. Also I believe if you rerun the test using a Tier 4 compliant engine you also could have better results.

Of course your mileage may vary, good luck in the production of the Bendy Track. I look forward to trying it once it hits the market.

Derek

Actually you’re not so far off! If you look closely at the wheel you’ll see it’s developed a flange on the outside as well as the inside. I am regularly at VIA’s maintenance centre and I’ve never seen wheels like that (though with the coming budget cuts I may start seeing them). That geep is properly worn out…

We’re having a lot of fun with this stuff (as if you couldn’t tell!). You haven’t seen our FPA-4 dance number yet… [:D]

-Jason

Hopefully you will be demonstrating that in January at the Amherst Show.

Okay. That was howlingly good…

Thanks Jason!

Stu

more like Ranger Gord …

In my best Monty Python “Dead Parrot” voice.

“This tracks not broken, it just has a little twist in it”. “They don’t call it Bendy Track for nothing you know!”

“Now go on, take it home, it will be fine by the time you get there”.
