Texan Freight Set Here!

My Texan Freight Set arrived today. Let’s unpack it.

Master carton

Box inside:

Goodies inside:

Now a little run time:

I went whole hog and got the matching ‘B’ unit, Moe & Joe lumber car, and piggy back flat too:

Shipping weight was 17kg. All cars but caboose are sprung. Glossy finish on all of the cars. Cars seem a little larger than ‘traditional’ size. Locomotives have operating couplers front and back. Sound package with engine sounds, crew talk, whistle and bell. Crew talk is activated when at rest with bell and whistle, so they overlap. Track is Fastrack - 48" curves, 45 degree crossing, 1/2 straights, and some shorter 1 1/2" and 1 3/8" straights are included to make a twice around track. Power is a CW-80.

I think my favorite is the tank car. Good high end starter set.

That certainly is one handsome set. [Y]

Totally AWESOME TEXASS or isit TEXUS set. Enjoy.

Texas Special

Don’t know which I like better, the Texas Freight Special or what appears to be a gorgeous Texas Passenger Set in the background.

Either way [Y][tup] .Sweet !

Hhmmm, Maybe I should consider adding a Texas Special to my roster since our daughter was born at Reese AFB, Tx. [C):-)] Does that help to rationalize the “train addiction” ? [:-^]

8N,

That is a great looking set. I just looked at in again my 2010 catalog. I’m sure the Moe and Joe car will provide endless fun.

Joe

DDG,

That is a Texas Special passenger set in the background. It is the latest release with all of the Legacy goodies.

The traditional O Gauge freight cars might seem larger because they all have die-cast trucks instead of the more typical plastic trucks. The weight makes anything seem larger.

8n,

BEAUTIFUL, CONGRATS and ENJOY!!![tup]
