Texas Big Boy move postponed again
Sounds like they need to find the people that moved the “Madam Queen”.
UP will have their Big Boy rebuilt and running before this one is moved!!!
It’ll move eventually. I’d love to drive up to follow it; if they had a solid date.
UP should restore this one and move it

Outwardly, it looks like this one is in better condition than the one in LA. Obviously, the UP folks in Cheyenne are much better qualified to make the proper decision as to which one to acquire. Eventually it will run into the millions for UP to get one running again.

Seeing an operational Big Boy would be a wonderful sight to behold. It will probably take UP several years to bring this beast back to life, but it will be worth the wait. To echo a previous post: “Bravo Union Pacific!”
